If you’re looking for a rustic barn wedding venue in Kent, you can’t find better than The Barn at Falconhurst. Lovingly transformed by the Talbot family, The Barn features plenty of original features which lend to its unique character.

The Barn has a lovely long bar made from old farm doors from the estate, as well as a fully fitted catering kitchen. Next to The Barn there is a beautiful wild garden with a large pond - and of course you’ll have use of the beautiful gardens at Falconhurst, which have been carefully temded by generations of the Talbot family.

The House & Garden

The House and gardens have played host to a long list of brilliant events over the years. Jazz nights, operas and weddings work brilliantly, with the extensive views and beautiful scenery providing the perfect backdrop.

The House and gardens have been constantly evolving since they were first designed in the 1840’s. The current layout and style present lots of opportunities for a variety of events. With elements such as The Walled Garden, The Ruin and The Marquee Lawn there are a diverse set of locations that will work well for a party.

Dating back to the 1820s, The Barn is a old Victorian threshing barn heaped with rustic character and abundant charm. Standing proudly near the entrance of our historic family estate, The Barn has been transformed into a popular wedding venue and events space, creating an intimate home for your Kent barn wedding.

The Barn at Falconhurst provides a blank canvas for you to add your own personality - with everything you’ll need at your fingertips. We can recommend caterers, florists and other suppliers or you are more than welcome to use your own.

The Barn

The Barn provides a different feel to that of the gardens; it is an intimate space with rustic character. Once a small dairy farm building, it has now been reimagined as an upcycled events space exuding an industrial and rustic feeling. The Barn can host up to 80 guests, who are welcome to enjoy the adjacent wild barn gardens, and reception drinks in the walled garden.

A choice of two spaces

Use the pretty gardens as the backdrop for your bespoke marquee wedding. The Garden is perfect for larger weddings; the marquee lawn can host up to 200 guests, with the garden offering plenty of spots for your guests to enjoy a glass of bubbles. The lawns at Falconhurst are ideal for placing all kinds of marquees, whether you’ve visions of a bohemian yurt, a vintage traditional canvas or a modern frame tent.

The backdrop

The gardens are lovingly tended by an enthusiastic team with wonderful billowing borders, pergolas awash with roses and generous wide gravel paths. 

Whilst you are here with your families, we want you to feel that Falconhurst is yours. Guests may enjoy all the grounds, explore the woods, introduce themselves to our friendly Kunekune pigs or use the tennis court and swim in the pool.

Complete freedom

It’s our heartfelt desire for you to experience a happy and relaxed family wedding whilst you are at Falconhurst. To deliver this, we never host more than four weddings a year both in the garden and The Barn. This gives you exclusive use of Falconhurst as your venue, allowing plenty of time to get everything perfect, and dismantle it slowly. There’s no rushing here.

Complete ease

If you’re needing to take the easy option then The Barn is for you. We’ll supply all you need to create a great space that you can then personalise. It’s an all-in price, other than the booze and the caterer, so you know where you are. The Barn is yours to decorate the day before, and open to guests from 3.30pm, with lights out at 11.30pm on the day. You’re welcome to use the walled garden for your drinks reception any time from 1.30pm.

We charge £6,600 to hire The Barn.

We charge £4,500 to hire our grounds for your wedding (excluding marquee hire)

There is very limited availability for 2025, and diminishing availability for 2026 so don’t delay getting in touch if you’re considering Falconhurst for your wedding!
